Uncelebrated Venice. Venezia minore by Egle Trincanato

In 1948, Egle Renata Trincanato – he first female professor at the IUAV University – published Venezia Minore, a meticulous study of the lagoon city’s urban fabric from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century. Now, on the 77th anniversary of its first publication, we are proud to present this new English critical edition. Venezia Minore, or Uncelebrated Venice as we herein translate it, is a seminal work. It is fundamental for our understanding of the lagoon city’s urban fabric and has served as a foundation for later morphological studies.
